Korean Bibimbap At Home

One of our favorite hot meals to make is the Korean dish known as bibimbap. Bibimbap, which can be translated to mean “mixed rice” in Korean, is a hot dish that is typically composed of veggies, rice, chili paste, meat, and a fried egg that is mixed all together right before it’s eaten. This fun and colorful meal is packed with flavor and quick to prepare; to make it even easier, you can use pre-made sides available at your favorite Asian/Korean market. We love the spiciness of this dish, so we’ve added Dua Belibis into the hot sauce to kick it up a notch!

1 1/2 white rice, cooked
1/4 cup carrots, shredded and steamed
1/4 cup Korean spinach, cooked
1/4 cup bean sprouts, cooked
1/4 cup kimchi
1/4 cup pickled cucumbers
1/4 cup sesame shiitake mushroom (cooked)
1 egg
1 lb marinated beef bulgogi meat
1/2 cup gochujang (Korean red chili paste)
3 cups Dua Belibis chili sauce

•Prepare the marinated beef bulgogi on medium heat until cooked; set aside when done
•Place cooked white rice in center of a clean plate
•Plate the cooked/already prepared veggie sides and meat around the rice
•Cook the egg sunnyside up; place on top of the rice
•To make the hot sauce, mix the gochujang and Dua Belibis; serve with the dish
