Make your own Hummus dip

Hummus is one of Chef Erwin’s favorite snacks, so it’s no surprise that he likes to make his own. This dip is a popular staple in Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisine and has a rich history (the first recorded recipe was from 700+ years ago!).In addition to being tasty, hummus offers a lot of great health benefits – it’s a good source of vitamins and minerals like folate (Vitamin B9), iron, and fiber. Chef has added his favorite spicy Asian chili sauce, Dua Belibis, to bring a little heat to this snack. Make this recipe in minutes for the perfect dip.

1/2 cup garlic cloves, roasted
2 1/2 cup garbanzo beans, cooked
2 tbs tahini sauce
2 tbs Dua Belibis chili sauce
1/2 cup lemon juice (fresh-squeeze)
1 cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1/4 cup kosher salt (to season)
paprika (to garnish)
1 bag of pita chips

•On small sheet pan, roast garlic until they are golden brown; set aside to cool
•In a food processor, add whole cooked garbanzo beans, tahini sauce, roasted garlic, Dua Belibis, kosher salt (as desired), and fresh lemon juice
•Blend them all together and slowly pour Extra Virgin Olive Oil until creamy
•Place it in a bowl and drizzle extra virgin olive oil and paprika on top
•Serve with your favorite pita chips
