The OC Foodie Fest is Orange County’s first major gourmet food truck event taking place Saturday, August 28th at Honda Center in Anaheim.  The one-day event will be the ultimate foodie destination, featuring the best in popular mobile eats combined with a unique forum to showcase local entertainment & shopping to help support local charities.

This summer, the OC Foodie Fest is bringing Orange County 50 of the most popular, creative and unique food trucks Southern California has to offer. They’ll be serving up a wide variety of culinary creations, international cuisine and specialties such as fusion tacos, freshly steamed hand-made dumplings, the finest in delicious baked treats and so much more! The participating food trucks will include local favorites Komodo (yours truly), Taco Dawg, Calbi BBQ, Oh For Sweet’s Sake, Piaggio on Wheels, Seabirds, Tropical Shave Ice.  The event will also feature gourmet eats from well-known chefs including the LudoTruck from Chef Ludo Lefebvre best known for his appearances on Bravo’s Top Chef Masters & the Food Network’s Iron Chef America and recently named Chef of the Future by Time Magazine.

America Ninja Warrior Weekend in Venice Beach this Sunday (8/8)

Come on down this Sunday to the legendary Venice Beach, where you will find your favorite truck vending at this kick ass G4TV event. Who knows, you might even spot Olivia Munn at our truck!??

Food trucks are taking over televisions across America with the launch of Food Network’s The Great Food Truck Race. Some of our friends, namely- Nana Queen and Nom Nom Truck are in the roster and we can’t wait to watch it to root for our favorite local trucks. Celebtastic Weekend

What a weekend! First of all, the LA Food Fest was a huge success! Our Miso Beef Skewers were such a big hit, we ran out of food the first 2 hours of the event.

Hope some of you were able to try it! Amongst all of our beautiful fans, we rubbed elbows with a few of our new friends.

LA Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and celebrity chef Susan Finnegan cleaned up our fabulous Miso Beef Skewers at the LA Food Fest. Our Komodo skewer specialist- Kasey could not believe his eyes!

The fabulously hilarious Ross Matthews stopped by to console Komodo girl Anita on her Scarlet Letter punishment of carrying our Miso Beef sign all over LA Food Fest. Thanks so much for making us laugh, making Anita’s day and checking out our skewers!

If it isn’t Mr Romance himself- David Archuleta, trying to make a move on our Komodo girl Hana while ordering our Komodo 2.0 tacos. Hah… he definitely has good taste!

You, yes you, can spot more of these stars at our truck next time. So head on down to the Komodo Truck and, you never know, you may be rubbing elbows with your favorite celebs.

Pulp Fiction is still Badass

Taking place this Saturday 7/24 at Exposition Park near USC, they’ll be screening everyone’s favorite flick- Pulp Fiction, starring Uma Thurman, Sam Jackson and John Travolta.

Join Komodo Truck and ton other great food trucks as we party the night away, while watching this classic film with the rest of LA.

Are you ready to eat your heart out again? Back by popular demands, the highly popular LA Food Fest is back and now bigger than ever. Check it out this Saturday (7/24)  at Pasadena’s world famous Rose Bowl.

For only $45, you will have access to 60+ mobile vendor foods and goods. All you can eat food (where all the trucks will be featuring a special menu entree) plus tequila tasting plus great people watching equals a ton of good time. The Komodo truck will be featuring a hearty Miso Beef Skewer dish.

Tickets are limited and only available pre-sale online through Eventbrite. That’s right, no tickets at the door! Remember, a portion of your ticket will be donated to great non profit beneficiaries, St Vincent Meals on Wheels and Woolly School Gardens. Two very worthy causes serving young and elderly Angelenos.

Last Saturday’s Outdoor Cinema Food Fest taking place in Downtown LA (by FIDM) was sick. We were so touched by the outpouring of fans coming out to see Swingers and waiting patiently for Komodo truck food. We hope it was all well worth it. We love you guys.
