Komodo Truck and LACMA MUSE create Custom Burrito

// February 5th, 2010 // No Comments » // Art, Eat, Events

BroadContLACMA

The Komodo Truck is partnering with the one and only LA County Museum of Art’s MUSE organization to create a custom burrito called The Muse Burrito. Muse is LACMA’s membership group for young artists and art enthusiasts. With a mission to elevate the experience of supporting the arts, Muse offers its members a dynamic balance of social, educational, and philanthropic activities throughout the year.

We will be cohosting an event with MUSE to support the Susanne Vielmetter Los Angeles Projects and launch the brand new designer burrito (proceeds of this burrito will go towards funding the arts). See details below

Saturday, February 20 | 7 pm
Susanne Vielmetter Los Angeles Projects
6006 Washington Blvd
Culver City, CA 90232

To begin our year-long initiative of partnering with communities across Los Angeles, Muse is collaborating with Susanne Vielmetter Los Angeles Projects in their brand new space for a night of art, artist lectures, and live entertainment in Culver City. The inaugural exhibition featured in this space offers both a solo show of Rodney McMillian and group show including local artists such as Ruben Ochoa, Andrea Bowers, and Edgar Arceneaux. For more information about Susanne Vielmetter LA Projects, visit vielmetter.com.

The night will start off at 7pm with an after-hours viewing of the exhibition. Throughout the course of the night there will be artists present to discuss their work and live entertainment until 10pm. There will be a complimentary beer/wine/soju bar and the Komodo truck will be selling their dangerously good food on-site, including the launch of their new burrito—The Muse. The Muse will be sold wherever Komodo goes and, with its every purchase, a donation will be made to LACMA Muse.

Admission to the event is free, but a $10 donation is suggested. Muse members are welcome to bring guests to the event. To RSVP, send an email with “Muse in Culver City” in the subject line to sgregg@lacma.org. Please include your email address and the number in your party in the body of the email.

JAUS is very pleased to presents LUBE, a three woman exhibition curated by artist Martin Durazo featuring work by Samantha Magowan, Tameka Norris and Kiki Seror. One of the main objectives for this exhibition is to create a forum for the exploration and discussion of ideas related to objectification, the gaze, and ownership of inherent sexuality.
